New Year
Seed-suffused
sober chariot at dawn,
resolute with visions
of a bounteous night
Seed-savouring
unwieldy wheels at noon,
supinely drunk
on the night's promise
Fruit-famished
tearful trunk at night,
wistful waiter
upon this new dazzling dawn.
