New Year's Resolution Poem by Gareth Glyn Roberts

New Year's Resolution

Why shed those Christmas calories?
Who says I should?
Give me another helping please
of clotted cream, of full fat cheese,
of Christmas pud.

Pressure to pump or skip or wallop
I'll promptly stifle;
into the kitchen I shall lollop,
and gouge myself another dollop
of sherry trifle.
