Newborn Poem by Vivian Kohler

Newborn

Rating: 3.8

For now you are our little one,
To share and love 'til day is done,
Your hurt to kiss, to bring you bliss,
It's plain to see, our hearts you've won.
Each day is filled with work, ev'n night,
Though when it's done, we reap delight
The smile you wear makes small our care
And lifts us to the mountain height.
New dawns are bright with eagerness.
You zeal and jest and happiness
Quiets our hearts as the sunrise
Stills and fulfills it's morning quest.
Thus, doldrum's cure is naught but cling
To bright thoughts you so timely bring,
Your cheerful face reflects God's grace
With love forever encircling!
