The New year arrives
Like an angel carrying
Winter flowers of
Hope, kindly reassurance.
Nature's keen spirits
Seem to whisper their secrets,
Gently as breezes,
To those who wish to listen.
Will we now discard,
Weary old ways, as the sunrise
Glows with a rose pink
And orange light? O will we
Finally be free
Of infernal distractions
That weaken our hearts
And souls, and rob us of all
That is virtuous,
Vital and life enhancing?
The New Year arrives
With many resolutions.
