Nigeria, One Nation Poem by Muhammad Abdullahi B

Nigeria, One Nation

Rating: 5.0

From the exegeses of unity……………
Voiced by gone leaders with gravity
Acts with sound exemplarity
I aired my dire with sincerity
Let no black stone cause our divisibility
Or the green glory of humanity
Not even the dams, the source for electricity
Despite the tongues in our diversity
Our skulls could come in conformity
To having our fatherland fountains in unity
If I reference our scroll for identity
Balewa, Awolowo and Azikiwe is entity
Who ornamented in white our nationality
And spread wings that barricado insecurity
Homing the tongues with security
Shadowing the tongues in our identity
If now leaders but acts with sensitivity
The nation will reclaim its actuality
In awe and tear I mourn Maitama's brevity
To seeing our fatherland attain reality
For his love and hope to our nationality
Let his demise bring to us serendipity
