Nigeria,
So far from here
Lies it
In Africa,
But the heart of it,
The soul of it
I can feel the throb,
The heartbeat of it
Just the language may be different
But the complexion is
Something similar to that of theirs.

Yoruba dancers,
Yoruba dancers
At the World Yoruba Carnival of Arts and Culture festival
Dancing and in full glee,
A motley of colourful people
In colourful dresses
Dancing in zest.
--------------------
The Igbo huts,
Ancient society and culture,
Village elders sitting,
This is but one thing
But their huts
Made of mud and straw,
Other than this,
Their traditional attire,
Dance and speech
Together with food habit and living,
Folklore, mythology,
Indigenous literature
Tells of an Africa tribal and aboriginal,
Dark and ethnic,
In full diversity of life and culture,
Taking to a different description,
A different discourse
To be known by us
So vibrant with local culture and panorama,
Native colourfulness
