Night - Poem by Audrey Perniciaro

There are times in one’s life
That seem so full of strife
When laughter disappears
Leaving only a wistful, and eerie echo in it’s place
Darkness sweeps in and covers the sun
Happiness has gone
And will never again come
Night seems eternal
And Daylight so far off
And the demons of of the dark at your trials do scoff
But then, as if in a dream
Sunlight bursts through
Beam after beam
Night is gone at last
And morning, come anew!
