Night Chamber Poem by Jesse Tampa

Night Chamber

Rating: 3.5

Silently breathing in the night
At times confusion conquers
I raise a goblet of purified water
Enter into my mind and give me calm

The TV is on as I slip away into the dark
Sometimes it is freezing, other times it isn’t
Covered up for warmth at times
I get to think and try to relax

Other times life comes through easily
In a cycle that seems to end too soon
I lay my head down and keep my eyes closed
Enter a chamber of torment that nobody knows
