Nightfall Poem by Ramakrushna Sahu

Nightfall

The night has fallen since long
There is no sign of rising a sun
The stars looked tired of watching
And moon has caught jaundice
Because of sleeplessness

Man has not yet discovered himself
And depends on the light of others
To feel his presence
The dependence has covered up
The lamp of man burning within
The light of the inner eyes

Night has not fallen
Darkness is a creation of sleep
And the stars are just dreams
Night has not just fallen
It is the absence of a sun
And he has yet to discover himself
Who is more than a thousand suns.
