Nightmare Poem by zama ashley helebe

Nightmare

Yesterday, I dreamt
A dream which was dreadful dim
Colours, pictures and sounds
Were very blur and slim
The sounds sounded quite strange
As if you were strangle
Or they were shot from a far range
Even the words you mime in your mouths
I couldn’t vividly see in my mind

Your light bright smile
Was not bright as light
But dark as a dark night
Your inviting angel’s laughter
Swiftly switch shifting from amusing
Terrifying devil’s laughter

Like a blind bad bat
My vision was black, blur and blunt
More than a vision of a snake, I bet
I turn and tossed, flip and flap on my bed
Trying to see this from a better angle
Only to find out that
This was the devil’s reckless angels

He blitz my peaceful bliss
With multiplied heated heat
In a bit, stealing my breath
Leaving my body vacuum cleaned
He chocked me shortly
And left me cold feeling
To find out about this I’ve searched and heard
That I only had a nightmare
