Nightmare In Gaza Poem by Deborah Loraine Kean

Nightmare In Gaza

For 60 years
They've fought and died
Meaningless

The oppressors have made their ‘incursion’
1200 civilians have been killed – and
everyone has an opinion

Although there's hope
Just a little bit
Maybe

If oppression ceases
Killing ceases
Then life can grow

If everyone just learns to care more about living than dying!

A very thoughtful and well constructed piece Debbie, As a former soldier I have bared witness to the terror that war can bring and leave behind in its math...The countless cries echoe around the world for these wars to end..yet as long as we are controled by the powers that be....due to financial and economic greed...they will continue passed our life times.....hopefully in time, the world will understand that it will take love and understanding, to end all wars..to reach peace. Best of Health & Happiness Jon
