Nightmares

When darkness falls
I keep my eyes
Closed
I advert my gaze
Running as fast as I can
Away
This is when the monsters
My demons, come out to
Play
I hide and go as far
As I can the other
Way
As my nightmares follow me
I scream and close my eyes
Too afraid
To deal with the pain
To walk all the way
Into the darkness
