Nightmares - Poem by Callum Kyle

Mother Canada

Mother Canada
here she stands
watching over seas and oceans
to far away lands

where young sons have gone off
to fight on foreign soils
done to her unjust not
but stand by and watch she can not

so with unending vigilance
she stands and watches
praying for the day that her sons come home
but some may not

but those who do
can assure her they did her proud
for stand by and watched
they can say they did not
