Ninth Grade Poem by Abigail Abi

Ninth Grade

Let's spend forever in the ninth grade
I don't wanna ever see you go away
You're the reason I wake up and start my day
We can stay forever in the ninth grade

Everything about you is special
The way you make me smile when you say hello
When we hug
It feels like time slows
Like I'm dancin' with you in my mind
Whoa

Got my back
Boy
I got yours
Ain't nobody can take your place
That's for sure
When I'm down
You're my go-to cure
And it's just how you love me
Boy
It's so pure

Let's spend forever in the ninth grade
I don't wanna ever see you go away
You're the reason I wake up and start my day
We can stay forever in the ninth grade

It's the simple things that I love
Like how you say my name or how you give a hug
How you get me nervous when we touch
When you say
'I love you
' I can never get enough

You say you'll be with me 'til the end
And if you say it
Then I know it's not pretend
It's not a matter of if but when
It's only the beginning and we're more than friends
