No Connection Poem by Jude Thadeus

No Connection

Rating: 5.0

The number you called does not exist - no connection.
We live in a connected world, but feels disconnected.
We crave for love, to share, to live, to be happy and talk about life,
But here we are; our attempts to connect are void.
Some would blame technology, but I would blame the heart.

The number you called does not exist - this goes to more than a "feeling".
A feeling of fear,
A feeling that we might be disappointed again,
A feeling that we might not make it,
But why are we afraid to connect?
Why is our worth overshadowed by fear?

This fear is creating absence,
This absence is creating vacuum,
This vacuum is creating loneliness
This loneliness is killing us.
We cling to fear, and denying our heart the love it desires.
Is this the best way to live?
We need to start listening to our heart,
I believe the feeling of fear and disappointment will quickly fade away.

Maybe we should seek a new way,
Perhaps, we have to listen with honesty.
Life is a GIFT; it's about something to live for - being alive.
Maybe we need to be honest to ourselves regardless of what life brings.
Maybe if we start talking honestly and listening to our hearts honestly,
Maybe then, the number you called will exist, and connection will be established.
