We met on a train loaded with passion
Each of us carrying excess baggage
Our tickets punched much too soon
We missed the last flight to the moon
Our morals we left waiting at the station
We sailed on a ship of fools
Afloat without a life saving device
Not loving for the sake of it
Our desire weighed down by an anchor
Dreams scattering like bowling pins
The lane too slippery to take grip
We struck out more than we could spare
We got lost like an unmarked buoy
No stability to control the gaining rust
Barnacles growing like wild dandelions
Letting the current decide our destiny
The wine made us temporarily insane
The talking made no sense at all
We should have put a cork in it
And let the silence speak volumes
There was no genie in the bottle
Just an empty message
No deposit, no return
