No Love Poem by isabel grossbart

No Love

Nothings meant to last
But that's a lie
The love I had for you
It never really died

We were so close
One person
One heart
I feared your love
So I tore u apart

It killed me to see
What I had done
How I played with you
Your affections and
Then some

You tried to save me
To give me life
But I only wanted
To shut out the light

But you will never really know
That I could never be tamed
I could never be loved
Or made to feel pain

For the person I am
Feels no shame
But somehow she
Takes all the blame

This heart is still beating
But odd and off key
Cause without its other half
It can never be complete

It's to be forgotten
Left for dead
No love in this heart
No hope for this mess

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
How those who don't accept love end up ruining any relationship they are in because they don't believe that they can be loved...but they love and they cling to the feeling forever no matter how much time may try to pass so u can forget
