No More Poem by Tyler Chang

No More

I’m tired of being broken
I’m tired of giving my all
You stripped my heart,
you tore down my walls
I gave you my love
My knees to the floor
But I say to you now,
No more
No more

You exhausted my love
You drowned me in pain
You played with my heart,
was it only a game?
I begged you to stay
You walk out the door
So I say to you now,
No more
No more

You aroused my love
You brought me to life
Dreamt of a dream,
to one day make you my wife
Now I must tame the flames,
that was brought out before
But I say to you now,
No more
No more

You left me in confusion,
when my love was sincere
I let you inside,
when your intentions were unclear
I gathered the pieces,
that I plan to restore
So I say to you now,
No more
No more

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The climax of my first love. Every beginning has an end, and sometimes the ending can be very unpleasing.
