No More Tears! Poem by Doreenda Nikoi Kotei

I won't shed anymore tears,
No matter how hard you hit me,
You've hurt me many times,
But I said nothing to you,
Because you had the upper hand,
You treat me with evil and cruelty,
But I know what I carry inside of me,
Nothing you do will erase the glory set up for me,
My God is a Faithful Judge,
My time will come.

I will shed no more tears,
You've torn apart all that belongs to me,
You've taken from me what I deserve: money and possessions,
You keep torturing and pinning me down,
You manipulate and connive with people to destroy my life,
For the grace on my life set me apart from you and all others,
I leave you to God to avenge me.

I won't shed anymore tears,
Only with my eyes will I see the reward of your wickedness,
You left me with nothing but disgrace, ridicule and humiliation,
You keep stabbing me in my heart,
My blood gush out like a waterfall,
But I thank God for safeguarding my life,
For when I thought that my life was ended,
He remembered me gave me another chance.
I believe in the blessings I carry,
My time will come.
