One For Me Poem by Doreenda Nikoi Kotei

One For Me

She is simple, smart and noble,
Always smiling and shying away,
Gracious and happy to be around with,
She is a shoulder to cry on,
And the backbone of every great man's success,
A selfless beauty to behold!
Would she allow me to rest my lips on hers?
She is the one for me.

She loves flowers,
So I decided to get her a bouquet,
She adores red, it's her charm!
A warm, lively and receptive icon,
She is peaceful, calm and submissive,
She is every man's ideal and perfect woman,
Would she let me dine with her tonight?
She is the one for me.

She sends me notes at work,
That get me thinking and engulfed into her,
What a woman!
She cleans up after me and makes me comfortable,
She sets me in the mood,
And make me go crazy after her.
Would she be true to me forever?
She is the one for me.

I think I'm the luckiest guy in the world,
To have such a jewel with me,
She addresses me as her King and Lord,
She always prays for me and wishes me well,
Her words of appreciation amazes me,
And her life of genuine service catches my attention day and night.
Would she accept me to marry her?
She is the one for me.

I first met her sitting all alone by the bushes,
I approached her and said Hi,
I took a second look at her and was speechless,
Her smile was captivating!
Busy? No, just writing a little piece, she replied.
Oh! She was writing about me,
The love of her life. How wonderful!
I didn't want to let her go,
Her loving spell worked on me,
Would she allow me to die for her?
She is the one for me.
