No Need To Know God's Address Poem by Mohammad Younus

No need to know God's address;
Because when I call Him...
...He is inside and around;
Believe me, I have it right...
...because wherever I am He is there;
He is never beyond my heart's eyes;
He knocks upon at the door...
...of my heart each hour...
...to call me, and have a chat...
...and listen to His melody sweet;
But somehow, sometimes...
...I can't hear His melody;
What should I make of that?
Is it me forsaken by Him I ask myself...
...or have I just gone deaf somehow?
There is absolute silence I find myself in;
In this divine silence...
...I only breathe in His name Hu...
...until the sunrays at dawn...
...drenched in dew, touch my brows;
Maybe He wants me to wake up...
...and see Him in broad day light...
...because I have been in total darkness...
...with my eyes closed;
Perhaps it's just the way I think...
...and it has made me rather mad.
