No One But You Poem by Layla Ammel

No One But You

Rating: 5.0

No one, No one except you makes me beg my Lord to throw me to the other end of the world,
Away from any trace of you,
To a place where every silver car doesn’t remind me of you,
To a place where I don’t keep checking my phone and thinking every email might be you,
every phone call might be you,
every text might be you,
To a place where I don’t come across streets that I walked with you,
So I’m leaving today, to go the furthest place that I don’t have any memories of you.
I remember the quote I read just yesterday….

-One day the moon said to me,
'If he makes you cry, why don't you just leave him.'
I paused and turned around...and i looked back to the moon and said,
'Why would you ever leave your sky? '-

But try I must to leave you and move on. To remove you from my heart.
Maybe it will only be on the day the moon leaves the sky that I will finally forget you.
And when I meet you at the end of the journey I will say-
I was only human and forgot sometimes,
I hope you will understand then.
