Of you and your family, pictures since birth,
many false lovers, together abusing lust,
of our friends, bonds tying us to earth.
but no pictures of us, none showing trust.
Ones with you shivering, to the spine that I've touched,
some of you crying, tears that i've brushed,
even a couple with that smile, the one starting this crush
but no pictures of us, none showing trust.
I'm a ghost to your soul,
thrown down angel from your heaven,
I've been relinquished, and reflected,
a candle's flame that's been neglected.
A light that could have shown through,
Bringing even death from his tomb,
but instead our visit's were short,
once in a blue moon.
yes it's true,
there's no pictures of us, none showing trust,
but there's memories stacking against
memories,
vivid as a dream before dreams wake,
each as important as the other.
But memories and dreams
can be as light as a dove's feather,
and as I grow old,
i may release you in hopes for another,
one who holds my shaking hand
in transformation from skin to dust
landing upon my fragile writer's nightstand,
the one where words take scent
and shape,
figures to bend and break,
creating hearts at their stem to peel and shake,
but none apparently,
not even a thousand of 'em,
that can make a picture of us
come true.
