No Regrets Poem by Ayomipo Ikusika

The wars we have, the battles we fight,
The weakness that easily beset us, the failures that linger to make a mockery of our few claims to success, hmm
Our faults, our weaknesses the influence of evil that falls upon us all of a-sudden,
Our inadequacies, our lack,
Our impending self-destroying mistakes ever arriving to leave that bitter taste of defeat;
Was part of the plan purposed in order test... our fate,
To develop the resolve and courage needful to run our race,
The journey through - stumbling, staggering moments in our race for “perfection”;
Are the pieces that form us making us what we are or could be,
The grace and experience needful to fulfil our destiny.
So I say journey on, with no regrets…..
