It only seemed like yesterday,
That you’d take me to the park to play.
We would walk for what seemed miles,
It was all fun, games and smiles.

The phone call was at 1 o’clock
My mum couldn’t really talk
“He’s gone Lou, ”
And at that moment I knew.

I never thought the day would come
I felt so empty, so numb.
The pain in my heart was so strong,
You’d been there my whole life, now you’re gone.

I walked over to the bed where you lay,
I knew then there was nothing I could say.
I wanted to believe you where sleeping,
I couldn’t stop my self weeping.

I held your hand, kissed your head,
No, No he can’t be dead.
Dad pulled me away and held me tight
Told me everything is going to alright.

Every day I miss you dearly
I wish I told you how much you mean to me.

Why did you leave with out a goodbye?
I knew I wouldn’t ever get a reply.

This is dedicated to my grandad
