No Season Without The River Poem by George Samuel

No Season Without The River

Let it pass,
River growing grass,
No way you know,
No day is slow,
When the river flows.

Season after season,
Giving life a reason,
Never a day,
Forever a way,
Save the river in May.

No bank of mine,
No water like wine,
When night shall fall,
And dawn upon our hall,
Only the river is shines in silver balls.

No wind through the woods,
No sailor can tame the flood,
No end is seen,
Where it has always been,
Never a winter without the river so green.
