A heinous massacre, hearts torn apart,
Thousands of lives, a world turned dark,
Civilians wounded, maimed for life,
Caught in the crossfire of endless strife.
War's cruel hand leaves scars so deep,
As children's cries in silence weep,
Scattered cots, droplets of blood,
In hospitals, the innocent flood.
Black smoke billows, a gutted shell,
The remnants of a living hell,
Parents holding babies tight,
Dazed, sobbing in the daylight.
No solution lies in war's cruel game,
Peace cannot be born of flame,
In the streets where shadows roam,
We long for love to guide us home.
In this grim theater of endless fight,
There are no victors, only blight,
Both sides bear the heavy toll,
As humanity loses its soul.
For every gain, a loss is felt,
In every triumph, pain is dealt,
The spoils of war, a hollow prize,
Masked in sorrow, veiled in lies.
May we find a path to grace,
To heal the wounds and heartache face,
For every child, for every tear,
Let compassion conquer fear.
Amidst the ruins, pain so raw,
The world bears witness to the law,
That war's destruction spares no soul,
And only peace can make us whole.
