No You Poem by Maggie Mundi

No You

I'm getting used to no you
Even after all the years
Now waking in the morning
My eyes aren't wet with tears

The pain is getting duller
And doesn't stay as long
Except for when the radio
Plays our favorite song

Everytime the phone rings
I still imagine you
But when the voice isn't yours
I don't get quite so blue

That afternoon you left me
I didn't want to live
But now I'm starting over
And found there's more to give
