No, You Are Not Obliged Poem by Saniya Galeyeva

No, You Are Not Obliged

No, you are not obliged
To tell me "I love you".
To call me your sweetheart
And to prove that it's true.

No, you are not obliged
To say to everyone
That I'm your perfect match,
That I'm your number one.

No, you are not obliged
Always to pet and coo.
But you'll stop me when I start
Hurting myself - hurting you.

No, you are not obliged
To knee when I scream or boo.
But you hug me when I fight
And calm me down. Yes, you do.

No, you are not obliged
To be destroyed by me.
But you'll say I'm your bride
And say that you couldn't live

Without my lips and my tread,
And without my laughing eyes.
Now my kiss is your sweet bread.
My voice is your paradise.

No, you are not obliged
Always to make me smile
And feel each minute loved.
You're just to stay beside.
