Nobody Waits For You Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Nobody Waits For You

The sun, the moon
the planets, the stars
the wind, the tides
the invincible time
nobody waits for you
the insects, the birds
the flora and fauna
the clouds, the rain
the day, the night
nobody waits for you
the films, the TV serials
the functions, the celebrations
the authors, the websites
nobody waits for you
the job, the profession
the teachers, the well-wishers
the friends, the relatives
the near and dear
neither he nor she
nobody waits for you.
It may be....
a time-variant illusion
or a hallucination
a traditional ritual
or a sugar-coated pill
that makes you feel
as if somebody waiting for you
but nobody waits for you
you have to walk alone
you have to work alone
HE only watches you
and HE only waits for you.
