As velvet haze so blankets the dusk
And too soon the crimson sunset fades
My delights still in the twilight bask
While sun beneath rolling waves recedes
Oh shades of night, for my slumber keep
Tunes of day that in the night have died
Fill me gently as I deeply sleep
Conceal the tears every time I cried.
