Noise Of Silence Poem by Tosin Abegunde

Noise Of Silence

Noise of Silence

Just like a ship that runs aground
Catastophe awaits the undiligent
The saint with scent characters
The sour friends of the nation
Who cares for road as against air
Fortified locomotive is her delight
All in the name of complement
Litigations spells its limitations
As we had prayed for a light
Gloomingly it comes and rays
At last to illuminate the house
The lost pin now found
Only to hurt her the eye balls
Nothing more, nothing less.

The law house master
Legislates on masses minds
Safe-guarding their conscience And managing their funds
But to their satisfaction.
Duty of office negates oaths
Test and trials observed
Pronouncement suits the public
With intentions betraying a trust
The cake was eaten and had,
Nothing more, nothing less.

The srength manager
Managing the mint wads
After strategising all necessary tendencies
Build the face of the sector
To a state of financial recklesness
Suspension and expulsion defined
The Chief Executive speculates
Perhaps to bury oil theft case
Only posterity knows
After all is said and done
Cacus decision will be final
Making grand finale of corruption
Nothing more, nothing less.
