Nonchalance - Poem by Vanessa Brown
Every day i see you,
Every day you seem so sad;
Lolling there, grumbling about
The things that make you mad.
Your face employs a series of
Odd yet comical shapes,
As you talk some random crap eg
'My favourite food is crépes! '
'The introverted depressant'
You described yourself as one day;
You hate being asked to come and shop -
At home you'd rather stay!
But all these things are part of what
Makes you so dear to me,
And i hope that we'll stay friends although
In a year we'll both be free.
We'll both go our separate ways,
And live so far apart;
But every time i think of you,
A smile lightens my heart.
