Nonsense - Poem by Tony Phung
The sun sets for the chosen one
Born from flesh and blood
Darkness comes, light undone
Cold in the dirt and mud
Screaming, crying from the womb
Born from fornication
Screaming, crying from the womb
Born with aspirations
Deep in the earth ancient tombs
Die in celebration
Deep in the earth ancient tombs
Die in isolation
Lies, theft, murder, and sin
Love, joy, fondness of kin
Hate. Kill. Burn. Destroy.
Nurture, Care, City of Troy
Paris. Helen. And Tolkein
Burn down Isenguard
Jealousy driven immortal women
Setting fire to your kin
Drown the hate and embrace the sorrow
No need to see the morrow
War. Peace. Victory. Win.
On the battlefield we find our kin.
Search the bodies, ravens caw in the wind.
Bury our dead, mourn for your kin.
Grapefruits splitting, lemon juice kiss.
Wounds, burns, something amiss.
Planes, cars, and crazy trains
Bullets flying, splattered brains
Doughnuts, jelly, and pastry treats
Ovens baking, summer heat.
Daisy dukes and bikinis
1940's dry martinis
Rising sun, coming day
New dawn arises
So shall we three
And so silence there will be
For the coming of the trinity
