Nostalgia Poem by Amala Alex

Nostalgia

Sweet memories
Of those gone days,
Remain fresh in mind,
Cherished dearly
In every breath of mine.

All were special to me,
Very unique and strange
They still have the power
To leave me in tears
or in laughter.

I did have all their keys,
Jingling in a big bunch,
Some have rusted
Like those of my broken memories.

Some keys are lost,
Like those of my
Dear old memories.
Some shine forevermore,
Ecstasies in every
breath of mine.

Some bring pain and agony,
Which fills me with hatred,
Some are filled with nothing
But sheer happiness.

The best stock available,
Those proud moments
When I felt I was up above,
To the fear of Gravity.

I love them dearly,
Oh, so dearly that
How I wish to regain
Those gone pearls of my
Yesterdays.

They taught me a lot,
More than at school,
Memories of failures,
Add to my stepping stones
To success.

Every time I refresh them
Those lovely moments,
That have cunningly,
Gone away with the wind.

I wonder oft,
Chances of a second life,
Same as before, yes the
Very same.
Gathering those lost pearls
Of my nostalgic yesterdays.
