Not As Easy As Thougth Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Not As Easy As Thougth

The ships may block the ocean's flow,
And hold back goods, both high and low.
The CIA sees strength in Iran's hold,
For oil and food, stories unfold.

But hardship's touch, a different art,
Can forge a nation, mend a heart.
Not in surrender, but in might,
A stubborn spirit burning bright.

Remember lands where wars were waged,
Longer than plans had ever gauged.
Afghanistan's long, weary fight,
Iraq's tough struggle, day and night.

So if Iran faces a heavy strain,
And people feel the pinch of pain,
Don't think of grumbles, sighs, and blame,
But unity, a whispered name.

A different hope, a different plea,
When threatened, they stand, wild and free.
Perhaps a spirit, fierce and deep,
Will hold out longer than you'd keep.
