We are Native people
Who have struggled
To gain freedom from foreign yoke
At that time, it was considered as joke

The english was learnt to become clerk
The natives felt big jerk
Since then there was scuffle
Enmity was created between Hindi speaking and other people

Yet poetry remained well nit
The sentiments were well fitted
It was realized that the soul of poem must remain in tact
Even though translated version may not present true act

We are borne to native parents
Whatever we haveat present
We must not kill the heart of the poem
It must flow as sun beam

What if you make it ornamental
Weave it in difficult language
And theme leading to beyond the reach of normal man
I think poetry does not remain in original form

If poetry involves simple language
And within reach of all ages
The purpose is well served
The link remains as strong bond
