Not In A Thousand Years (Sonnet #25) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Not In A Thousand Years (Sonnet #25)

Not in a thousand years nor a million
Would I give up on us to live heartless
Oh, not for the world's treasures nor diamonds
Would I let go of your soft tenderness

You are the heart that beats at my core
You love me when I fail to love myself
Not any love, unconditional and more
My soul you touch, deep in my sea you delve

Each day your love in my heart grows stronger
Oh, your tender sun shines in my heart first
For my heart you adore, cherish, pamper
In your sweet love I am fully immersed

But the more I fell, the sweeter life turned
For my heart is lit by your love, not burned
