So once upon a time
I wasn't the way I am today
And I remember the one thing grandma used to always say
Was to pray
But I was hardheaded
And I used to say things like why
Yeah he's high
Above all
But
He don't control me
And yeah I was dumb
Somewhat because all I wanted to do was to find out if this guy was the one
For me
And yeah you see me as a teenage girl but you always hear the saying 'Girls just want to have fun'
Right
So trouble cam
And my love life was over
No more hubby when I needed to cry on a shoulder
But then I
Became better
And I
Didn't regret it
So soon I accepted it
And I completely changed my life
Cause I
Needed to
So I took that advice
And I prayed
And they all told me God would take my troubles away
And this is my testimony
You can take it or believe it
But I'm wishing you'll just receive it
And change yourself
Well at least try before you cry to him for help
