In my yard I have never placed a politicians flag
And about none of them did I ever boast or did brag,
On my vehicle I never placed a political bumper sticker
But, at and about them I will always mock and snicker.
I don't have an autographed Bible or button or a lapel pin
Nor do I have a politician's picture on a shirt or on an ink pen,
And I don't have them either on a jacket or on a hat
I am smarter and I have more sense than that.
I don't have a politician as a doll or on a keepsake coin
Because, of them no special club or group do I want to join,
And I don't have them pictured on a keychain
As I believe that would be quite controlling and insane.
I don't have them on any type of card
And praising or worshipping them you'll never see in my yard,
I don't have a picture or a poster of any of them
And only to God will I ever ever give an, "AMEN! ".
What I do have and display is true common sense
And that is truthful and factual and no pretense,
I know when someone is honest and caring and doing a good job
And I know a liar and a traitor and a con man who wants to use and rob.
