It was a day just like today
Not that long ago
You came along and made me strong
You helped the love inside me show

You made my life come alive
Just by being you
Times when I needed you the most
You always came through

I don't know what I'd do
If the day should come
When I turned to reach for you
And I touched no one

It was a night just like tonight
Not that long ago
You came to me with loving eyes
And a heart that watched love grow
