I was thinking
I was hoping
that today would be the same
Pulling me close in love and affection
In warmth and attention

All day empty
Many hours gone
I was wishing
I was thinking
about you
Hoping to see you
Anxious for that moment to meet me soon

I saw you
I hesitated
You seemed defined
You behaved quite different
I was thinking that today should be the same
Full of warmth
Full of affection

But today was different
Today was changed
Today felt empty
Lacking, but not grave
Missing much attention

Today I was searching
I was questioning and hoping
Today I was unsure

What will tomorrow become?
