One of us has to be the one
To tell the other goodbye
I know it won't be easy
But I know we have to try

The way we're living now
Isn't good for anyone
I know we'd both be better off
If everything between us was done

I know it's not that easy
After all the years we had
Every time I think about us
It makes me a little sad

But who's going to be the one
To tell the other goodbye
Or do we do like we've done before
Keep hiding behind a lie

We know we're not good for each other
I know reality can be hard to face
It's something that must be done
We both need our own space
