Not What You Want; Just What You Need Poem by Far Lapenna

Not What You Want; Just What You Need

Rating: 3.5

Stop complaining about it hurting,
Stop humiliating me.
You have to just stop and think,
Just about what you need.
Stop complaining that you don't like it,
It is still the remedy.
Stop moaning on about something,
When I'm just being kindly.
Stop snarling you can't open,
A simple little tin can.
I'll help you, but only if,
You remember who I am.
I'm not someone younger than you,
I'm probably light-years away.
I'm someone you normally mouth at,
But I'm not happy about that survey.
But I'm someone you can rely on,
However not permanently.
I'm someone whose shoulder you can cry on,
Though sometimes I don't agree.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My mum always groans and scolds me for being silly when she has told me a million times to do something and I've never got it into my head - so here you are, I hope you all agree!
