Notches - Poem by Jade Hymora

Lovingly he whispers
Sweet nothings in your ear
Easing his arm around your shoulders
Moving closer to you

Looking directly into your eyes
Making promises he won't keep
Lying to you lovingly
Leading you blindly into his bed

Unknowingly you fall into his trap
Blinded by love and sweet words
He brings you closer
Deeper yet you fall into his trap

He raises your chin
Telling you he loves you
Stupidly you believe him
He lowers his lips tou yours

You think you're in heaven
As his hand creeps up your shirt
So swept up in passion
You don't even notice where this is headed

Before you know it your shirt is off
You're in his room feeling nervous
He assures you he loves you
And he'll stop if you ask

Yeah boy run that game
I know you all too well
I can read you like a book
Full of shit is what he is

I'm sorry to tell you
He is MY boyfriend
He loves you not
He only loves himself

He makes you feel
On top of the world
Then snatches it all away
And robbing you of your dignity and innocence

He thinks only of his wants
His needs and carnal desires
You have much to learn dear girl
This much I know about you

You are but another notch
Upon his belt dear girl
Another girl bedded on a long list
And assuredly not the last

Think dear girl
Get out while you can
Don't fall like so many others
Be one less notch on his belt
