Note Poem by Nkululeko Mdudu

Note

It's not the string that's soft;
It's the hand that plays on it;
Not the music that's melodious;
but the ear that listens,
And all this is far more profound
than the heart that inspired....

The hand the claps says nothing
about the hollow mind.
Only the wind will tell the story,
only the heart will know the tale;
only the ears can take such stimuli;
only the rhythm in the mind....

You can learn any music you hear,
You will only hear the music in your soul...
