Note To Self Poem by Skylark Woodrow

Note To Self

Rating: 5.0

I have trouble telling you the truth,
Because of all the lies I've listened to.
Lies that you were unworthy,
That you would never be enough.
Lies that you were not worth loving,
That you were not worth fighting for.
But I want to take the time to tell you now:
That you are lovely and beautiful,
Someone worth knowing.
That you are daring and brilliant,
Someone worth loving.
You are more than enough,
And I will fight for you;
And I will learn to love you,
Day after day,
Moment by moment.
I will stop believing the lies,
And I will take the time to learn to love each and every part of you,
Because aside from God, only I could ever love myself the way I need to be loved.
