Nothing Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

Nothing

according to my recollection
i remember nothing
about you
mostly because you
were born before me
soon diappearing
as though the earth
swallowed you whole
i had six sisters
growing up
without a brother
never knowing you
were adopted off
being lied to
about your existence

i don't know much
about you at all
never saw your picture
never knew your name
for all i know
you could be
living next door
or be any one
i might pass by
in the street

I do hope you find him Faith, otherwise you'll always have an empty space in your heart. Love Ernestine. XXX
