Nothing Else Poem by Devon Malonson

You clench your teeth
and pull your hair
yet it still seems like
nobody even cares.
You try not to rely on others
but the more you try
the more you feel
like you're about to cry.
You're such a strong soul
caught on a wayward path
you try to turn around
but the harder you try
the faster you move in the other direction.
And it seems
nothing can bring you to perfection.
Yet even though
your life may seem hopeless
you know there's so much more to all of this.
So tighten your fist
and keep pushing through,
because you know in the bottom of your heart.
That there's nothing else you can do.
