Nothing Goes For Me Now - Poem by Shalom Freedman

Nothing goes for me now
In every area of life
There is disappointment
Even this writing
And all writing

I cannot prosper
I do not succeed

I have not fallen yet
But it seems imminent

It is no good to cry and weep
and beg for pity

I am still going
It is possible to see and think it all
In just the opposite way
Blessing and good in everything somehow

Even in old age
Courage- and not giving up.
